Apple Turnover

Ingredients
- 1 lb puff pastry 2 sheet
- 1 tbsp all purpose flour for dusting
- 1 1/4 lb granny smith apples 3 medium, peeled,cored and diced into 1/3 inch thick pieces
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar lightly packed
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 whole egg lightly beaten for egg wash
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
Directions
1. Roll out puff pastry.
2. Sauté apples with butter, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
3. Fill pastry squares with apple mixture.
4. Seal and brush with egg wash.
5. Bake until golden.
6. Make a powdered sugar icing; this is optional. The powdered sugar and milk ratio is 1/2 cup of powdered sugar to 1 tbsp of milk.
7. Drizzle powdered sugar icing over cooled turnovers.
