Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
- 8 oz Elbow Macaroni
- 2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheese
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp ground mustard
- 1/4 tsp salt adjust to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper adjust to taste
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp butter for toasting breadcrumbs
Directions
1. Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Make the Cheese Sauce:
Melt 3 tbsp butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir in the flour to form a roux and cook 1–2 minutes.
Slowly whisk in the milk and cook until thickened (about 4–5 minutes).
Add garlic powder, onion powder, and ground mustard if using. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Add the Cheese:
Stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan until melted and smooth.
4. Combine Pasta and Sauce:
Add the drained macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to coat evenly. Adjust seasoning if needed.
5. Optional Crispy Topping:
Melt 2 tbsp butter in a small skillet. Add breadcrumbs and toast until golden.
Sprinkle over the mac and cheese before serving.
